It looks like we will be finally breaking ground on the casa this week! After overcoming some red tape it looks like Guillermo will start to clear some brush and start digging the foundation this week. We will meet him in Merida on the 18th to start selecting the materials that we will be using such as tile, windows, plumbing fixtures, paint colors, doors etc. We are scheduled to leave Merida on the 20th to head down to Xcalak. This does not give us a lot of time with Guillermo so we will have to be decisive about the selections.

Look for the board to be updated at the end of the month when we return with lots of photos and info about the selections. We would like to thank Hanno for coming up with the idea and inviting us to participate on the site. We would also like to thank everyone who has written expressing their support. Joe & Susan
