You can send each other messages on this board. If you see the symbol below the name of person who posted the message you can send him a private message.

You will see the number of messages that you recevied on the top of the page after login. If you want to make sure that you are notified by email of a new message then login and go to your messages. Click on preferences on the right top of the page and select 'yes' at 'Notify by e-mail:'
