Patrol boat Mexican navy sinks off the coast

A patrol boat from the Mexican navy sank off the coast of the Costa Maya. 12 of the 27 sailors onboard went missing. The 17-metre and 37 ton "Lago de Cuitzeo'' left the navy installation on Banco Chinchorro the day before. It was transporting a group of sailors to the mainland when a wave flooded the vessel, causing it capsize and sink. All of those rescued were not seriously injured in the sinking.
